I have been very blessed to have worked with the incredible people at Lionsgate and OWN over the last few years and I look forward to continuing my work with them on a non-exclusive basis.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.blackfilm.com\/read\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/BET-networks-logo.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-expand=\"600\" class=\"lazyload alignright size-medium wp-image-29049\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;charset=utf-8,%3Csvg xmlns%3D'http%3A%2F%2Fwww.w3.org%2F2000%2Fsvg' viewBox%3D'0 0 300 150'%2F%3E\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.blackfilm.com\/read\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/BET-networks-logo-300x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Under the terms of the agreement, Perry will produce approximately 90 episodes annually of original drama and comedy series for BET and other Viacom networks, and Viacom will have exclusive licensing rights on this programming. In addition, Viacom will have exclusive distribution rights to Perry\u2019s short-form video content. The partnership on Perry\u2019s TV and short-form video content to go into effect in May 2019, following the expiration of Perry\u2019s exclusive agreement with OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network. Viacom\u2019s agreement will extend through 2024.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.blackfilm.com\/read\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/BET-Debra-Lee.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-expand=\"600\" class=\"lazyload alignleft size-medium wp-image-100503\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;charset=utf-8,%3Csvg xmlns%3D'http%3A%2F%2Fwww.w3.org%2F2000%2Fsvg' viewBox%3D'0 0 300 150'%2F%3E\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.blackfilm.com\/read\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/BET-Debra-Lee-300x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Paramount Pictures will also have exclusive first-look rights on any new feature film concepts created by Perry effective immediately. Previously, all sixteen of Perry\u2019s directed films have been distributed by Lionsgate, with the upcoming Boo 2! A Madea Halloween (coming later this year) and the just announced <strong>She\u2019s Living My Life<\/strong> and <strong>Tyler Perry\u2019s A Madea Family Funeral<\/strong> still on their schedule.<\/p>\n<p>BET chairman and CEO <strong>Debra Lee<\/strong> said, <strong>&#8220;I am delighted that we are deepening our longstanding relationship with Tyler. BET co-funded Tyler\u2019s very first feature film, we\u2019ve aired his movies and many of his series with great success on our networks, and we\u2019ve honored his tremendous talent with our signature awards.
