Newton Story,\u201d \u201cDo the Right Thing\u201d) will play Darla\u2019s (Bianca Lawson) estranged parents, and Todd (\u201cI Will Follow,\u201d \u201cThe Bucket List\u201d) plays Mother Olivia Brown, a much beloved and respected matriarchal activist residing in the 9<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0Ward.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Following a creative initiative established at the series\u2019 outset, DuVernay continues to assemble an all-female directing team.
