Premiering on Monday, August 28 at 9 p.m.<\/span><\/span>, the film is the TV One\u2019s<\/strong> first original movie inspired by an episode of TV One\u2019s original series, For My Man<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

When Love Kills: The Falicia Blakely Story<\/strong> marks the feature-length directorial debut for Tasha Smith <\/strong>(For Better Or Worse, Empire) and stars Lil Mama, Lance Gross, Tami Roman, Big Freedia, Lil Zane<\/strong>, and Floyd Mayweather<\/strong><\/p>\n

Based on a gripping true story, the film tells the tragic story of Falicia Blakely, a teen mom who grows up in the fast-lane. At odds with her mom\u00a0( played by \u201cBasketball Wives\u2019\u201d Tami Roman),\u00a0she becomes an exotic dancer and she attracts the attention of local pimp and predator, Dino. His empty promises of a life together turn Falicia into a pawn in his dangerous games; and she\u2019s forced to prove her love for him at the expense of innocent lives.<\/p>\n

Lance Gross<\/strong> (House of Payne, Temptation) as Dino, a modern day Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, who uses Falicia\u2019s weakness for his gain.<\/p>\n

Tiffany Black<\/strong> (Bring Out The Lady) as Pumpkin, Falicia\u2019s rough around the edges \u201croad dog\u201d who fully intends to strip her way out of poverty.<\/p>\n

Walter Fauntleroy<\/strong> as \u201cQ,\u201d Falicia\u2019s regular customer-turned-friend; a good guy caught in a bad situation.<\/p>\n

Big Freedia<\/strong> as Tam, neighborhood friend and confidante to Falicia\u2019s mother.<\/p>\n

Lil Zane<\/strong> as DJ Pierre, Club DJ<\/p>\n

The screenplay is executive produced and written by industry veteran Cas Sigers-Beedles<\/strong>, who previously wrote and executive produced the TV One movies Welcome to the Family and Girlfriends Getaway 1 &2.<\/p>\n
