Principal photography is set to begin on October 9th.<\/p>\n<p>A cat and mouse style thriller, The Manuscript centers on a jailed genius convict (Morgan Freeman), who leads an ambitious junior book editor, through clues in his memoir, to the 20 million in missing diamonds he stole years earlier. As the junior editor gets closer to finding out the truth about the mystery, he falls in to a greater criminal ploy that leaves his life in danger.<\/p>\n<p>Freeman recently co-starred in <strong>Going in Style<\/strong> with <strong>Michael Caine<\/strong> and <strong>Alan Arkin<\/strong> for Warner Bros. and is currently in post-production with the film <strong>Villa Capri<\/strong>, which is set to be released later this year. Some of Freeman\u2019s other notable credits include: <strong>Now You See Me, Lucy, Invictus and Batman Begins<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.blackfilm.com\/read\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/Director-John-Moore.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-expand=\"600\" class=\"lazyload alignright size-medium wp-image-102155\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;charset=utf-8,%3Csvg xmlns%3D'http%3A%2F%2Fwww.w3.org%2F2000%2Fsvg' viewBox%3D'0 0 300 169'%2F%3E\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.blackfilm.com\/read\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/Director-John-Moore-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Moore helmed<strong> A Good Day to Die Hard<\/strong> starring <strong>Bruce Willis,<\/strong> which earned over $300 million at the box office worldwide and <strong>Max Payne<\/strong> starring <strong>Mark Wahlberg<\/strong> \u2013 both for Twentieth Century Fox.<\/p>\n<p>The project is being produced by Mike Witherill (John Wick) and Mark Williams (The Accountant) and financed by The Fyzz Facility. Highland Film Group is handling international sales and will introduce the film in Toronto. Highland is co-repping the U.S. sales with CAA.<\/p>\n<p>Freeman is represented by CAA. Moore is represented by Paradigm.
