According to The Hollywood Reporter<\/a>, Benny and Josh Safdie<\/strong>, the brother filmmaking team behind the Robert Pattinson crime thriller Good Time<\/strong>, will direct the remake of 48 Hours<\/strong> for Paramount Players.<\/p>\n

Not only that, but Jerrod Carmichael<\/strong>, the comedian who starred in and co-created the NBC comedy The Carmichael Show<\/strong>, has been added to the team to co-write the script with Josh Safdie and Ronald Bronstein.<\/p>\n

Walter Hill\u2019s 1982 action comedy 48 Hrs is considered a modern buddy cop classic, with memorable performances from stars Eddie Murphy and Nick Nolte. The film centers on a white cop (Nolte) and a black convict (Murphy) who are forced to team up for two days to find a pair of killers.<\/p>\n

Chernin Entertainment, the production outfit behind the Planet of the Apes franchise reboot is producing with Safdie collaborators Oscar Boyson and Sebastian Bear-McClard.<\/p>\n
