Writer\/director Jordan Peele\u2019s funny, scary and thought-provoking look at interracial politics,<strong> Get Out, garnered 12 nominations from the 18th Annual Black Reel Awards, making it the third-most recognized film in the award\u2019s history.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Premiering to both critical and popular acclaim, Get Out was nominated for Outstanding Picture, Outstanding Actor and Outstanding Breakthrough Performance, Male for Daniel Kaluuya, as well as Outstanding Director, Outstanding Screenplay, and Oustanding Emerging Director nods for Jordan Peele. Blige. The story of the reunion of the \u201cFlossy Posse\u201d continues the momentum for Tiffany Haddish, who scored Oustanding Supporting Actress and Oustanding Breakthrough Performance, Female nods, Oustanding Screenplay for Kenya Barris and Tracy Oliver), Outstanding Director for Malcolm Lee. Director Reginald Hudlin\u2019s story of famed future Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall scored nods for Chadwick Boseman (Oustanding Actor), Sterling K. Brown (Oustanding Breakthrough Performance, Male), Outstanding Song, Outstanding Score, and Ensemble.<\/p>\n<p>Other highlights include both Universal and Netflix pacing studio nominations each scoring 19 nominations, directors Maggie Betts and Peele receiving four nominations apiece and Denzel Washington receiving his 21st nomination for his performance in Roman J.
