During its TCA presentation, Crackle, Sony Pictures Television Networks\u2019 free, ad supported streaming network, released a new trailer for its upcoming 10-episode original drama, “The Oath,\u201d<\/strong> will premiere on March 8, 2018.<\/p>\n

Created by Joe Halpin<\/strong>, a Former Los Angeles County Sheriff\u2019s Deputy, and executive produced by Curtis \u201c50 Cent\u201d Jackson<\/strong> and his G-Unit Film & Television Inc., the gritty, action-packed drama, explores a world of gangs made up of those sworn to protect and defend and sheds light on corrupt and secret societies that are nearly impossible to join\u2014only a select few make the cut\u2013but once inside, members will do what they must to protect each other from enemies on the outside and from within their own ranks.<\/p>\n

The series stars Ryan Kwanten, Katrina Law, Cory Hardrict, Arlen Escarpeta, J.J. Soria\u00a0<\/strong>and \u2018Game of Thrones\u2019 Alum Sean Bean.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Joining the renowned ensemble are Michael Malarkey <\/strong>(\u201cThe Vampire Diaries\u201d), Eve Mauro (\u201cCSI Miami\u201d), Kwame Patterson <\/strong>(\u201cThe Wire,\u201d \u201cAmerican Crime Story\u201d), Linda Purl <\/strong>(\u201cHomeland,\u201d \u201cTrue Blood\u201d) and Elisabeth R\u00f6hm <\/strong>(\u201cLaw & Order\u201d).<\/p>\n

Michael Malarkey plays Sam Foster, a police officer and lieutenant for the Vipers, a rival cop gang. Going through a difficult and expensive divorce, he is involved in a forbidden love affair with Karen Beach (portrayed by Law), a member of the Ravens.<\/p>\n

Eve Mauro portrays Theresa Winters, a cop and leader of the Vipers, a rival cop gang within the department. Ruthless and unpredictable, there are no lines she is not willing to cross.\u00a0 With Tom Cole (Sean Bean) in prison, she has taken his place working with local drug dealer, Neckbone (Kwame Patterson).<\/p>\n

Kwame Patterson plays Neckbone, a calculating and dangerous high-level drug dealer with multiple cop gangs on his payroll. His organization is currently under threat from a new designer drug. As the series progresses, he sets off a chain of events that forces the Ravens into the middle of a drug war.<\/p>\n

Linda Purl is Gwenn Hammond, Steve and Cole\u2019s mother, and Tom\u2019s ex-wife. Suffering from late stage cancer, Gwenn takes laundered money from Steve for her treatments.\u00a0 Though she and Tom have ended their marriage they remain on good terms, and still care about each other.<\/p>\n

Elisabeth R\u00f6hm plays Aria Price, a senior FBI agent. Byrd\u2019s (Escarpeta) handler in the undercover operation targeting the Ravens. A shrewd bureaucratic animal and creature of expediency. Her mandate is to steer corrupt cops back to the right path, but there\u2019s also a darker, more opportunistic side to Aria that comes to light further on in the series.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Oath\u201d is executive produced by Curtis \u201c50 Cent\u201d Jackson and his G-Unit Film & Television Inc., Todd Hoffman and Dennis Kim of Storied Media Group, Anne Clements (\u201cStartUp\u201d) and Joe Halpin who is also creator, writer and showrunner.\u00a0 The premiere episode will be directed by Jeff T. Thomas (\u201cBlindspot,\u201d \u201cWayward Pines\u201d).<\/p>\n
