Game Nigh<\/strong>t is the newest murder mystery comedy to hit the big screen this year. From Warner Bros., and directors John Francis Daley<\/strong>, and Jonathan Goldstein<\/strong>, Game Night is your typical, quirky, movie that audiences will come to enjoy. However, Game Night isn\u2019t your average murder mystery. Viewers, and cast members alike, have no idea where the truth stops, and begins, as a pre-planned game night ultimately goes painfully awry. The story begins as usual, with a couple\u2019s (Jason Bateman and Rachel McAdams<\/strong>), weekly game night, but when their hired game host gets kidnapped, game players have to solve the game on their own, and discover the deadly truth.<\/p>\n

We caught up with Game Night\u2019s Lamorne Morris<\/strong>, and Kylie Bunbery<\/strong> on the set of the film in Atlanta, and learned about the inception of their characters. The two play a couple in the movie, experiencing a bit of turmoil, as Bunbery\u2019s character Michelle, just confessed that she cheated on Morris\u2019 character, with a well-known celebrity. Kylie delves into her experience working with Lamorne, and being in the comedic space for the first time.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

“Lamorne is great, and he\u2019s comedically incredible. For me, this is my first time working in the comedic genre, so having him as my partner is truly a blessing. He\u2019s sort of guided me through by giving my little notes and jokes,\u201d said Bunbery. \u201cOur dynamic in the movie is rather funny. He\u2019s more of the insecure husband, which you\u2019ll see throughout the film. I\u2019m more of the strong woman who\u2019s trying to keep him in check and insecurities at bay.\u201d Bunbery explains that she is usually drawn to drama, but also has the range to dive into other genres. \u201cIn real life, my friends and family will tell you that I\u2019m extremely goofy. It\u2019s been really nice for me to test these waters,\u201d Bunbery said<\/p>\n

Morris, who comes from a comedic background, describes his humor as something derived from his mother. The New Girl alum says that he\u2019s always had a funny streak, and that Game Night has allowed him to put his favorite persona in focus. Morris plays the husband that just found out his wife cheated, all in the midst of the deadly game night taking place.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy character is your everyday guy. He\u2019s a loving husband and something happens, where you see his wheels start to turn a little bit when he finds out that his wife may have hooked up with a celebrity while they were together. He becomes paranoid, jealous, while trying to figure out who exactly he\u2019s been with,\u201d Lamorne says. \u201cInitially, you think he\u2019s this great guy, and then you see the asshole come out. It\u2019s a fun character to play. I like playing the guy that doesn\u2019t know s**t. This character is perfect, because he really can\u2019t figure it out. Throughout the course of the movie, you see how it spirals out of control. Everyone else is trying to figure out this mystery, and the only thing he\u2019s thinking about is who his wife slept with.\u201d<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Morris explains that working with his co-stars has been a fun ride – especially starring alongside Bateman, who he describes as extremely silly, on and off screen.<\/p>\n

Morris says that he hopes that viewers leave the film wanting to see a sequel to the movie. \u201cEach character has their own individual journey in this movie that\u2019s fun. They all can be standalone, but when you bring them together, it turns out great.\u201d he concludes.<\/p>\n

The cast also includes Jesse Plemons, Danny Huston and Michael C. Hall. Game Night will be released February 23, 2018.<\/p>\n
