Universal Pictures and Blumhouse Productions have released a trailer and poster for The First Purge<\/strong>, directed by Gerard McMurray<\/strong> (Burning Sands) and starring\u00a0Y\u2019lan Noel<\/strong> (“Insecure”) and Lex Scott Davis<\/strong>\u00a0,Mo McRae<\/strong> (\u201cPitch\u201d), Joivan Wade<\/strong> (\u201cDoctor Who\u201d), Luna Lauren Velez<\/strong> (\u201cHow To Get Away With Murder\u201d), Steve Harris<\/strong> (\u201cThe Practice\u201d), Patch Darragh<\/strong> (\u201cBoardwalk Empire\u201d) and Mugga<\/strong> (\u201cOrange is the New Black\u201d).<\/p>\n

Coming off the most successful film in the series, The Purge: Election Year, creator James DeMonaco (writer\/director of The Purge, The Purge: Anarchy and The Purge: Election Year) returns alongside the producers of this worldwide phenomenon: Blumhouse Productions\u2019 Jason Blum (Insidious series, Get Out, Split), Platinum Dunes partners Michael Bay, Brad Fuller and Andrew Form (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Ouija series, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre), and DeMonaco\u2019s longtime production partner, S\u00e9bastien K.
