Starting today, Amazon Studios\u2019 Pass Over<\/strong> is available on Amazon Prime Video<\/strong>. Directed by Academy Award nominee and Honorary Oscar winning Spike Lee<\/strong>, the film had its world premiere at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival.<\/p>\n

Lee captures the poetry, humor and humanity of this urgent and timely play about two young black men talking trash, passing the time, and dreaming of the promised land.<\/p>\n

Moses and Kitch, two young black men, chat their way through a long, aimless day on a Chicago street corner. Periodically ducking bullets and managing visits from a genial but ominous stranger and an overtly hostile police officer, Moses and Kitch rely on their poetic, funny, at times profane banter to get them through a day that is a hopeless retread of every other day, even as they continue to dream of their deliverance.<\/p>\n

A provocative riff on Waiting for Godot, Pass Over is a filmed stage production written by playwright Antoinette Nwandu<\/strong> with stage direction by Danya Taymor<\/strong> (niece of Julie Taymor)..The cast includes John Michael Hill, Julian Parker, Ryan Hallahan<\/strong> and Blake DeLong<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The play world premiered last summer at Chicago\u2019s celebrated Steppenwolf Theatre.<\/p>\n
