\n<\/a>ARRAY Releasing<\/strong> has announced that their eighteenth feature film acquisition, JEWEL\u2019S CATCH ONE<\/strong> will hit theater screens around the country this week and will stream on Netflix beginning May 1st.<\/p>\n

Acquired by Ava DuVernay for ARRAY, JEWEL’S CATCH ONE explores the legacy of America\u2019s oldest Black-owned disco club, as well as the life of businesswoman and activist, Jewel Thais-Williams<\/strong>. Jewel provided safe spaces for LGBTQ, Black and AIDS impacted communities in Los Angeles for four decades.<\/p>\n

Narrated by CCH Pounder<\/strong>, C. Fitz<\/strong>\u2019s debut documentary sizzles with exclusive interviews from Sharon Stone, Thelma Houston, Evelyn “Champagne” King, Madonna, Sandra Bernhard, Thea Austin, Jenifer Lewis, Representative Maxine Waters, Bonnie Pointer<\/span> and others who illuminate the triumph, the tragedy, the truth and the tenacity of a specific time of great import to queer and black communities in Los Angeles.<\/p>\n
