Atlanta-based production company NoEgo Entertainment is pleased to announce that its newest project, the riveting short film Social Conflict<\/strong>, has been chosen as an official selection of the prestigious BronzeLens Film Festival (BLFF)<\/strong> in Atlanta with the world premiere screening as part of the Festival taking place on August 23rd at 2pm at Atlanta Marriott Marquis, Screening Room 2\u00a0<\/strong>(265 Peachtree Center Ave NE, Atlanta, GA 30303).<\/p>\n

The film was also just selected as part of the Newark International Film Festival<\/strong> and the Capital City Black Film Festival<\/strong> in Austin, Texas.<\/p>\n

Created by award-winning director, producer and singer Nicci Gilbert-Daniels<\/strong> and director, writer and actor Dwayne Barnes<\/strong>, Social Conflict is the gripping tale of a Detroit high school thrust into the national spotlight after an unthinkable tragedy occurs at the school. The film explores several hot button issues that have recently dominated headlines including gun violence in schools, sexual abuse and the education system in America.<\/p>\n

Film Synopsis:\u2028 Set in Detroit, MI, Social Conflict revolves around social issues prevalent in the world today, going beyond sensational headlines to examine how these subjects affect societal dynamics in America. In 30 minutes, the film tackles a myriad of complex topics including mental health, sexuality, sexual abuse, poverty, education, and gun violence in schools.<\/p>\n

\u201cSocial Conflict\u201d is the story of a decaying inner city Detroit School rocked by a shooting that opens up pandora\u2019s box to reveal a den of iniquity that will rock the community to its core. This film is based on true events and has been a labor of love that the writers and producers believe will educate, inform and create awareness of the issues that inner city schools face daily. The film was shot in Detroit, Michigan at the alma mater of both the Writer and Director and the entire cast and crew are native Detroiters.<\/p>\n
