INDEPENDENT FILM SCHOOL - The New York Independent Film Workshop is a new
Manhattan-based school specifically designed to provide a low cost,
comprehensive introduction to the technical and artistic components of writing,
directing and producing short films. Founded by Maximo Catala and Misael
Sanchez, both supervisors at the Film Division of Columbia University School of
the Arts, the workshop offers a monthly three-week intensive program with over
one hundred twenty hours of personal instruction in Arriflex camera operation,
