In the music arena, H.E.R. leads the categories with six nominations total, making her the most-nominated artist this year. Entertainer of the year has a solid group of nominees with Jennifer Hudson, Lil Nas X, Megan Thee Stallion, Regina King, and Tiffany Haddish all in the running to take home the coveted award.
Karen Boykin-Towns, Image Awards committee chairman, shared in a statement, “We are thrilled to recognize this year’s nominees, who have all brought dynamic, entertaining, and thought provoking content to our attention through their incredible work in film, television, music and more.”
Seven-time NAACP Image Awards winner and Black-ish star Anthony Anderson is set to host this year’s awards show, making this his ninth consecutive year hosting. The two-hour special airs LIVE!
