Hot Docs is thrilled to announce that Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson will be the closing keynote speaker at their 2021 industry conference.
In A Conversation with Questlove, the musician will sit down with NOW Magazine’s culture editor Radheyan Simonpillai to discuss his Hot Docs Official Selection Summer of Soul (…Or, When the Revolution Could Not Be Televised) and why he chose to document a story that has been ignored and forgotten for far too long. Questlove’s keynote will stream on Thursday, May 6, at 1:30 p.m. on the industry conference platform until May 9, with an extended viewing window for All-Access Pass holders until May 31. The keynote will also be available for public Festival audiences to watch for free at a special online streaming event on May 6, at 1:30 p.m. on the Hot Docs website at hotdocs.ca, and will also be made available to ticket buyers of the film.
