LisaRaye McCoy and Lawrence Hilton-Jacobs sat down with blackfilm.com correspondent Koku Tona to talk ALLBLK hit series ‘A House Divided’. The pair talked about Hollywood legacy, having established careers but still being a fan of peers, and offered a very empowering talk about coming together as community to be greater. About Season 4 Of ALLBLK’s A House Divided:

A House Divided follows the members of the wealthy and esteemed Sanders family. The family are the direct descendants of Letty Sanders, a slave who became the richest Black woman in what was then the newly formed city of Los Angeles. Following the passing of the family’s present-day matriarch, secrets are uncovered and scandals emerge about the Sanders, who are forced to band together for the sake of their survival and long-standing legacy. In the new season, the saga continues as truths are revealed, lies are told and the Sanders family further unravels. Carissa (Demetria McKinney, Motherland: Fort Salem) struggles with learning to trust again, while battling her biggest adversary, Alexis (LisaRaye McCoy, The Family Business). Cameron Sr. (Lawrence Hilton-Jacobs, The Jacksons: An American Dream) navigates an international extortion plot while trying to maintain his freedom…to no avail. Meanwhile, Jupiter (Taja V. About Lawrence Hilton Jacobs:

Lawrence-Hilton Jacobs is an American actor, writer, director and singer. He has appeared in a number of classic film and television shows, including “Claudine” (1974), “Cooley High” (1975), “Roots” (1977) “Welcome Back, Kotter” (1975-1979), “Bangers and Mash” (1983) along with a host of other well-known titles across various genres. Jacobs portrayed the coveted role of Joseph Walter “Joe” Jackson, the father of the Jackson family, in the 1992 miniseries “The Jacksons: An American Dream.” He received an NAACP Image Award nomination for his riveting portrayal of the no-nonsense patriarch. Jacobs is a three time NAACP Award winner and Nominee.
Lawrence-Hilton Jacobs is known for being a master of acting and is a respected veteran actor in Hollywood. As an honor to him, the public housing in Eddie Murphy’s TV show ”The PJs” is named the Hilton-Jacobs Projects. He has landed regular work throughout the years including his starring role in the popular ALLBLK television series “A House Divided” where he plays family patriarch ‘Cameron Sanders’ for which he earned a 2021 Daytime Emmy nomination in the ‘Outstanding Lead Actor in a Daytime Fiction Program’ category.
