Screen Gems made some changes to the release dates of some of their upcoming films, including the one which features Chris Brown.
The 3D film Battle of the Year,starring Josh Holloway, Laz Alonso, Josh Peck, Caity Lotz, and Chris Brown has been pushed back from its January 2013 release to September 13th, 2013.
With compelling characters and vibrant dance sequences, BATTLE OF THE YEAR is set in the international world of B-boying – the urban dance more commonly known as “breakdancing.”
Unforgettable images frame the intimate stories of an all-star American dance crew who, with the help of their tough coach (Josh Holloway), struggle to reach their dreams despite being misunderstood by society and even their own families. Their lives collide in France where their skills are put to the ultimate test: the “Battle of the Year” finals, with crews from 18 nations vying for the title of World Champion.
Directed by Benson Lee from a script written by Brin Hill and Chris Parker, Think Like A Man‘s Will Packer serves as one of the executive producers.
Also announced was that Packer’s other film, ‘No Good Deed,’ which stars Taraji P. Henson and Idris Elba, will be released on October 18th, 2013.
The Aimee Lagos-written screenplay centers “around a former D.A turned stay-at-home mom and her two small children who are terrorized and kidnapped from their home when she invites a good looking mysterious stranger in to wait for help after his car ran off the road.”
Packer of Rainforest Films banner is producing along with Lee Clay. Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, Lindsey Williams, Elba, and Rob Hardy will executive produce.
