Adrien Brody, Jordana Brewster and Akon are joining Hayden Christensen in the indie action thriller American Heist.
Heist is a remake of the 1959 Steve McQueen movie St. Louis Bank Robbery.
Sarik Andreasyan is directing. Tove Christensen, Gevond Andreasyan, Georgy Malkov and Vladimir Poliakov are producing the movie, which begins shooting June 24.
According to the producers, the film tells the story of two brothers with checkered pasts, one struggling on the road to normalcy, the other just released from prison. Heist is serving as the inaugural production from Glacier Films, which is financing and aims to producer 11 feature films over the next 3 years.

Paradigm represents the domestic distribution rights with Voltage handling international sales.
Brody and Akon are repped by Paradigm. Jordana Brewster is repped by CAA.
