CBS has released a extended trailer for executive producer Steven Spielberg‘s CBS’ Sci-Fi Drama ‘Extant,’ starring Halle Berry and set to premiere on Wednesday, July 2 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT)
Produced by Steven Spielberg, the series will center on a female astronaut trying to reconnect with her family, after she returns home after a year in space. Her experiences lead to events that ultimately change the course of human history.
After spending a year in space, where she lived and conducted strange experiments, astronaut Molly Watts (Halle Berry) tries to resume a normal life with her family consisting of her husband, John, a gifted scientist, and Ethan, their son, a boy like no the other. He is not their biological son as Molly is infertile. Ethan was designed by his father as the first prototype of a future line of “Humanichs”, “human robots”. But the return of Molly will have dramatic consequences for the entire planet and the fate of mankind.
Also cast in the series are Goran Visnjic, Josh Malina, Grace Gummer, Camryn Manheim, Hiroyuki Sanada, Louis Gossett Jr., Tami Roman, Annie Wersching and Michael O’Neill.
