Holly Robinson Peete has been cast in a recurring role for ABC’s family-comedy American Housewife. In the sitcom, Katie Otto (Katy Mixon) loves and embraces her professor husband, three children, and all the chaos that comes with it. Otto juggles family life while actively not trying to fit into her wealthy and pretentious community of Westport, Connecticut.
Peete will be playing Tami, Katy’s close friend from her old town. Tami, having two older children of her own, was a mentor of sorts to Katy when she first became a mother. To Katy’s surprise, Tami moves to Westport with a new edition to her family – an eight year old daughter. Katy can’t wait to reconnect and return the help she once received from Tami. The show was created by Sarah Dunn and is entering its fifth season. The show comes from Kapital Entertainment and Disney Television Studio’s, ABC Signature.
Holly Robinson Peete is known for her roles on ABC’s Hanging with Mr. Cooper and NBC/WB’s For Your Love. More recently, Peete served as an original co-host on CBS’ The Talk and has reportedly finished filming two movies for the Hallmark Channel.
