The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has just announced details for the fourth annual Global Movie Day, set to take place on February 11th, 2023. This day is an opportunity for movie fans worldwide to show their love for their favorite films and engage with Academy members and filmmakers on social media.
Best Picture Nominated Films on the Big Screen
This year, Global Movie Day includes a number of exciting components. In collaboration with major theater chains AMC Theatres, Regal, and Cinemark, the Academy is encouraging movie-goers to watch the Best Picture nominated films on the big screen. Global Movie Day Celebration at the Academy Museum
On February 11th from 8-11 PM, the Academy will host its first Global Movie Day Celebration at the Academy Museum. This festive event will bring movie fans together to celebrate their passion for film, with exhibitions, food, drinks, music, and more.
During the celebration, guests will have the chance to enjoy music from this year’s Best Original Song and Best Original Score categories, as well as content from the nominated films. KCRW’s DJ Novena Carmel will provide the musical entertainment for the evening.
