‘Bad Boys 3’ may have life with Safe House Screenwriter David GuggenheimPosted by Wilson Morales

After years and years and plenty of talks that it may happen, Deadline is reporting that Sony Pictures plans to resurrect Bad Boys III by bringing in Safe House‘s David Guggenheim to provide the screenplay.
The site also reports that while Martin Lawrence and Will Smith are being sought to reprise their roles as Marcus Burnett and Mike Lowery, respectively, director Michael Bay, who did Bad Boys and Bad Boys II is not currently involved. Jerry Bruckheimer will produce the pic.
Bad Boys hit theaters in 1995 and grossed more than $140 million worldwide. The sequel, Bad Boys II, followed in 2003 with a worldwide gross of nearly $275 million.
Meanwhile, Guggenheim is set to write the screenplay for a Safe House sequel. The first film starred Denzel Washington and Ryan Reynolds. He also wrote the screenplay for Stolen, which starred Nicolas Cage.
