Omar Epps, whose last big screen role was opposite Meg Ryan in 2004’s Against the Ropes, is set to star in neo-noir thriller One Small Mistake, reports Deadline.

The film will be directed by British Emmy-nominated Alexander Harvey and centers on a man searching for truth and justice in a bigoted small town.

Stefan Raiser and Felix Zackor of Munich-based Dreamtool Entertainment are producing the film, whose script was adapted by Guy Bennett from French author Jean Francois Coatmeur’s La Bavure.

Epps, who made his debut in 1992′s Juice and starred in Major League II, Higher Learning, Scream 2, The Wood, and Love & Basketball. He is also known for playing Dr. Eric Foreman on the TV series House M.D. for eight seasons. He’ll be seen next spring on ABC’s drama Resurrection.
