Warner Bros. has chosen “Belle” director Amma Asante to direct the thriller “Unforgettable,” which centers on a man whose new wife is menaced by his ex-wife.
Christina Hodson is writing the script with Denise DiNovi producing the film with partner Alison Greenspan.
Asante, whose ‘Belle’ film debuted at the 2013 Toronto Film Festival, was selected last month as one of Variety’s 10 Directors to Watch
“Belle” will be released by Fox Searchlight on May 2. The film focuses on Dido Elizabeth Belle (played Gugu Mbatha-Raw), a biracial daughter of a Royal Navy captain, who fought to end slavery in England during the 18th century.
