While we didn’t get to be there long enough to see every film at 2013 Toronto International Film Festival, Blackfilm.com was on hand to attend several premieres and screenings of films featuring black talent. From 12 Years a Slave to Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom to Belle to Half of a Yellow Sun and Bell, there were plenty of talent available and representing their films.

Directed by BAFTA Award winner Amma Asante and written by Misan Sagay, Belle features Gugu Mbatha-Raw in her first starring role along with Tom Wilkinson, Emily Watson, Sarah Gadon, Penelope Wilton, Miranda Richardson, Tom Felton and Matthew Goode.
