Bernard David Jones talks ‘Remember’, Exclusive Screening Pics!

blackfilm.com correspondent Koku Tona spoke with Bernard David Jones, to talk his new series ‘Remember’ which he wrote, stars in and is producing with Gem Little and Hosea Sanchez (The Game), with Tari Wariebi serving as its director. 

Jones talked his roots in Patterson, NJ, touring internationally as a background singer, and his journey from acting to working behind the scenes.

‘Remember’ Screening Exclusive Pics!

On Wednesday, July 27th, Bernard David Jones (Uncorked, The Mayor, Twenties) and GLAAD’s Communities of Color and Media department  held a private screening of the pilot episode of his new series Remember in Los Angeles. The jam-packed red carpet event proved to be lots of fun, with cast, crew, friends, executives, media, celebrities, and influencers in attendance. Following the screening, there was a talkback with the cast and director, led by Ryan Mitchell! There was also a mixer following the talkback, with music provided by DJ DarJar.

About ‘Remember’

Remember tells the story of a forgetful millennial, and his four best friends, as they navigate queer love, rocky careers, and the ups and downs of friendship while realizing that his forgetfulness is more serious than imagined.

About Bernard David Jones

Born and raised in Paterson, NJ, Bernard Jones realized, at a young age, that he was born for greatness. He started acting and singing in church, and he later joined a performing arts company. With this company, he traveled the USA sharing his gifts with everyone. Bernard attended high school at Rosa L. Parks School of Fine and Performing Arts. After graduating, he continued his education at Morehouse College in Atlanta, GA, where he received his B.A. in Theatre. While in college, Bernard was given the opportunity of a lifetime. He went out, on an international tour, singing backgrounds for Grammy nominated singer Lyfe Jennings.

Bernard’s first professional show was at the Alliance Theatre. He played Lil D in Andre 3000’s Class of 3000. Working with Andre 3000 was a dream realized, He’s played Mushu in Disney’s Mulan and originated the role of JB in The Real Tweenagers of Atlanta, to name a few. When Bernard is not on stage, you can find him on TV. He has appeared as Milo on Tyler Perry’s Meet The Browns (TBS) and House of Payne (TBS).
