Tyler Perry Studios and the new home of his productions, BET+, have paired together to give us exclusive Film, TV, and screenplays. BET+ comprises of Tyler Perry’s work, to bring us black cultural specials like Sistas, Bruh, & The Oval to stream on the platform. The most recent screenplay announced to release August 27th with the movement and personality that captured us, and propelled him to the immense success he has today.
Formerly, A Madea Family Funeral, Tyler’s 21st play released in March 2019, was believed to be the final performance of Madea and Tyler Perry’s screenplays entirely. Yet Tyler Perry and BET+ have pleasantly amazed fans again with the BET+ exclusive, Madea’s Farewell Play being the confirmed as the final stage act of Madea. We’re saying our final goodbye to the character we all know and have grown to love over two decades. The old-school, wise, yet brutally honest,
gritty, unpredictable, and independent: Mabel “Madea” Simmons. Holding the claim of the black “mother” of screenplays, and the big screen.
Madea’s Farewell Play stars familiar favorites like Jacobi Brown as Malik Samuels, Tyler Perry as Madea, Murphy, David Mann as Leroy Brown, Kwaylon Rogers (@BlameitonKway on Instagra,) as Tiffany “TiTi” Samuels, Tamela Mann as Cora Simmons-Brown, Anthony Lewis as Devin, JAshlee B. Gillum as Robin, Walter Fauntleroy as Omar, Cassi Davis as Betty Ann “Aunt Bam”, RaVaughn Brown as Sylvia and Kendrick Mays as William Samuels.
