‘Black Widow’ is a Hit! Press & Social Media React. Marvel Studios latest installment ‘Black Widow’ opened up to a strong reception, and with an 81% Rotten Tomatoes rating, if you haven’t seen it, via Disney+ or in theaters, you’re missing out!
In a recent global press conference moderated by ESPN personality, Sarah Spain, she spoke with Producer and President of Marvel Studios, and Chief Creative Officer of Marvel, Kevin Fiege, Director, Kate Shortland, and cast members Rachel Weisz (Melina Vostokoff), David Harbour (Alexei Shostakov), Florence Pugh (Yelena Belova), and Scarlett Johansson, who plays the titular character, Natasha Romanoff.
Sarah asked the women if embodying the characters influenced their daily life, to Scarlett offered a thoughtful response.
SARAH: So I’m asking, when you-when you end up inhabiting this character for this many films, and particularly… And this goes actually to all the women here… do you then have it inhabit you in every day life? Do you feel like there’s-there’s challenges that maybe before becoming this character would have felt insurmountable or more difficult, but now you take on those qualities?
SCARLETT: Oh that’s interesting. Um, huh. I-I don’t, I don’t know. I think, um, you know, I’ve definitely… Well, I-it’s interesting I have to [INAUDIBLE], so I spent such a long chunk of my adulthood playing this character, um, that I-I’m certainly am less afraid of things now than I was 10 years ago, which is good. I feel like that’s a-that’s a positive progression in life. I mean I-I… not physically, physically I’m more terrified of stuff than I used to be.
SCARLETT: But, um, but I-I-I’m definitely more comfortable taking risks, um, and I’m more comfortable with jumping into things that I don’t-I don’t know, you know, jumping into kind of the unknown with stuff and take-taking risks and seeing how stuff plays out. I-I’m more comfortable with that stuff.

Synopsis: ‘Black Widow’
