Blue Fox Entertainment has provided Screenrant with some exclusive posters to their upcoming film Saint Judy, which stars Michelle Monaghan, Leem Lubany, Common, Alfred Molina, Alfred Woodard, Peter Krause, Ben Schnetzer, Gabriel Bateman, Waleed Zuaiter, & Mykelti Williamson.
Directed by Sean Hanish from a script written by Dmitry Portnoy, the film hits theaters on March 1st in select cities before expanding on March 8.
Saint Judy tells the story of how Judy (Monaghan) helped change the Law of Asylum in the U.S. by representing Asefa (Leem Lubany), a woman who fled her home country after being persecuted by the Taliban for trying to open a school for girls.
Monaghan and Lubany (Condor) are joined in the film’s cast by Alfred Molina as Judy’s superior at her Los Angeles firm, Ray Hernandez, along with Common (John Wick: Chapter 2) and Alfre Woodard (Luke Cage) as Benjamin Adebayo and Judge Benton – two people who prove instrumental in helping Judy with her ongoing battle to take on an antiquated legal system.
The film was produced by Hanish and Cannonball Productions’ Paul Jaconi-Biery. Cannonball is the company that secured Wood’s life rights and developed the story with writer Dmitry Portnoy. Wood had a number of interns working with her over the years, and Portnoy was one of them while he was in Pepperdine law school. Kelly Kahl is serving as executive producer.
