The Weinstein Co., thru The Hollywood Reporter, has released a third poster to Justin Chadwick‘s Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom, starring Idris Elba as the famed South African civil rights leader Nelson Mandela and Naomie Harris as Mandela’s wife, Winnie.

Based on a screenplay by Bill Nicholson (Sarafina!, Gladiator, Les Miserables), the epic motion picture will celebrate Nelson Mandela’s extraordinary journey from his childhood in a rural village through to his election as President of South Africa.

It explores the Mandela unknown to most of the world – the lover of fast cars and women, the boxing enthusiast and playboy, the skilful lawyer and the gun-toting freedom fighter – an intimate portrait of the making of a modern icon.

Set for theatrical release on November 29, 2013, the film also features South African stars Tony Kgoroge, Riaad Moosa, Zolani Mkiva, Jamie Bartlett, Lindiwe Matshikiza, Deon Lotz and Terry Pheto.
