Sony has released a featurette to Season 2 of Powers, which premieres on May 31, 2016, streaming on the PlayStation Network
A live action series adaptation of Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Avon Oeming’s comic book series, Powers season one previously ranked as the most-watched series premiere on the platform. All ten episodes of Powers season One are available on the PlayStation Network and are free to PlayStation Plus subscribers.
Powers, written by Bendis and drawn by Oeming, tells the story of homicide detectives Christian Walker (Sharlto Copley)and Deena Pilgrim (Susan Heyward) who work cases specific to the world of superheroes, super villains, and everyone in between, called Powers.
Also featured in the series are Olesya Rulin as Calista, Logan Browning as Zora, Timothy Perez as FBI Special Agent Slag, Enrico Colantoni as an ex-Power, Senator Bailey Brown, Raul Casso as Sgt. Martinez, Matthew Yang King as THX, Dominic Rains as The Lance, Justice Leak as Detective Kutter, Tricia Helfer as FBI Special Agent Lange, Wil Wheaton, and Michael Madsen as SuperShock.
According to the site, “Season two will delve deep into the “Who Killed Retro Girl?” storyline that kicked off the comics back in 2000. As you might surmise from the title, Retro Girl (Michelle Forbes) was the victim of a murder most foul, and it’s up to Christian Walker (Sharlto Copley), Deena Pilgrim (Susan Heyward), and the rest of the Powers Division to solve the mystery of her death.”
