Screen Gems has released some first look photos to its upcoming action/thriller film Black and Blue starring Naomie Harris, Tyrese Gibson, Mike Colter, Frank Grillo, Reid Scott, Beau Knapp, and Nafessa Williams.
Directed by Deon Taylor (The Intruder), the film will open in theaters nationwide on Friday, October 25th. Trailer will debut this Sunday during the BET Awards!
Black and Blue follows rookie cop Alicia West (Harris) in New Orleans who accidentally stumbles on some fellow officers murdering a drug dealer, an incident captured by the body cam on her uniform. When they then fail to execute her she escapes and teams up with the one person from her community who is willing to help her (Tyrese Gibson) as she tries to escape both the criminals out for revenge and the police who are desperate to destroy the incriminating footage.
Peter A. Dowling wrote the screenplay. Sean Sorensen is producing for Royal Viking Entertainment alongside Hidden Empire Film Group, Taylor’s own production company with partners Roxanne Avent and Robert F. Smith. Avent also serves as executive producer.
