Garcelle Beauvais, Terri Vaughn, Essence Atkins, and Malinda Williams headline Roger Bobb’s ‘Grown Girls Getaway’Posted by Wilson Morales

Production has started in Trinidad and Tobago on Roger Bobb‘s latest film, ‘Grown Girls Getaway,’ starring Garcelle Beauvais, Terri Vaughn, Essence Atkins and Malinda Williams.
Set in Trinidad and Tobago, the comedy which is described as Waiting To Exhale meets The Hangover, is about four long time friends who take a Carribean bonding vacation and experience fun, mystery and danger.
The film will be directed by Roger Bobb (former Tyler Perry Studios EVP), President of Bobbcat Films, Atlanta Georgia and produced by Angi Bones, Executive VP of Bobbcat Films. Together Bobb and Bones have produced several box office hits and a number of hit TV shows such asHouse of Payne, Meet The Browns and The Rickey Smiley Show.
The film is written by Cas Sigers and is a co-production between Bobb’s BobbCat Films and Siger’s and Vaughn’s Nina Holiday Entertainment. Lisa Wickham‘s Imagine Media International Limited is the Trinidad and Tobago production company. Wickham is also a producer on the film along with co-producers Valencia Hawkins and Sherrese Moise.
Bobb’s feature projects as a director have included ‘Raising Izzie’ and ‘In The Meantime.’ He recently produced the upcoming BET film called ‘Let The Church Say Amen,’ which marks the directorial debut of actress Regina King.
