Genera+ion Returns To HBO Max June 17; Watch The Trailer

Genera+ion is back for a second season with three new episodes premiering Thursday, June 17 on HBO Max. The series continues with two episodes on June 24, two episodes on July 1 and one episode on July 8. These eight new episodes complete the sixteen-episode first season.

Genera+ion is a dark yet playful half-hour series following a diverse group of high school students whose exploration of modern sexuality (devices and all) tests deeply entrenched beliefs about life, love and the nature of family in their conservative community. Zelda Barnz and Daniel Barnz serve as creators, writers and executive producers for the show. Also writing for the series are Sharr White, Sono Patel, Max Saltarelli, Christina Nieves and Michelle Denise Jackson. Directors include Daniel Barnz, Catalina Aguilar Mastretta, Anu Valia and Andrew Ahn.

Starring in the series are Nathanya Alexander (Oceans Eight), Chloe East (The Wolf of Snow Hollow), Nava Mau (Disclosure), Lukita Maxwell (Speechless), Haley Sanchez (Redress), Uly Schlesinger (Divorce), Nathan Stewart-Jarrett (Misfits) and Chase Sui Wonders (On The Rocks) with Justice Smith (Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom) and Martha Plimpton (Raising Hope). Recurring guest stars include J. August Richards, Mary Birdsong, Alicia Coppola, Patricia De Leon, Diego Josef, Anthony Kevyan, Sydney Mae Diaz, John Ross Bowie, Marwan Salama, Marisela Zumbado and Sam Trammell.

Executive producing alongside Daniel Barnz and Zelda Barnz is Ben Barnz for We’re Not Brothers Productions. Lena Dunham executive produces for Good Thing Going Productions, Sharr White and John Melfi; Co-executive produced by Sono Patel; Produced by Marissa Díaz and Michael Cohen for Good Thing Going Productions.
