Giancarlo Esposito Joins Tyler Perry In I, Alex Crossby Wilson Morales

Giancarlo Esposito, who’s on AMC’s hit drama Breaking Bad, has been cast opposite Tyler Perry in I, Alex Cross.
The adaptation of the popular James Patterson book is being directed by Rob Cohen with Tyler Perry as the homicide detective/psychologist meeting his match in a serial killer (Matthew Fox).
Ed Burns and Jean Reno have previously been cast in the movie.
Esposito will play a crime boss, stated The Hollywood Reporter.
The Copenhagen, Denmark native last appeared on the big screen opposite Nicole Kidman in the film adaptation of the stage play ‘Rabbit Hole.’
Distributed by Summit Entertainment and QED, production of the film is scheduled to start in August. QED partners Bill Block and Paul Hanson are producing with Steve Bowen and Leopoldo Gout of James Patterson Entertainment.
Esposito’s other film credits includes notable films such as Do the Right Thing, Fresh, and the The Usual Suspects.
