IFC Films has picked up the rights to distrubte writer-director Steven Caple Jr.’s thriller, The Land, which premiered last month in the NEXT Section at Sundance.
With a cast that includes Jorge Lendeborg Jr., Moises Arias, Rafi Gavron, Ezri Walker, Kim Coates, Linda Emond, Natalie Martinez, Erykah Badu, Michael Kenneth Williams, and Colson Baker (aka Machine Gun Kelly), the film is expected to hit theaters in the second half of 2016.
Four teenage boys devote their summer to escaping the streets of Cleveland, Ohio, by pursuing a dream life of professional skateboarding. But when they get caught in the web of the local queenpin, their motley brotherhood is tested, threatening to make this summer their last.
