
Tenderfoot TV, the creators of hit true crime podcasts “Up and Vanished,” “To Live and Die in LA,” and “Atlanta Monster,”has announced a collaboration with Issa Rae’s label Raedio, and HBO for a one-episode scripted podcast special following INSECURE’s show-within-a-show “Looking for LaToya.” Set to release June 12, 2020, the latest true crime miniseries embedded in Issa Rae’s critically acclaimed HBO series INSECURE, follows the story of LaToya Thompson, portrayed by American singer, songwriter and rapper SZA, a young woman who mysteriously disappeared without a trace.
“Looking for LaToya” will have a special one-episode scripted podcast that goes deeper into the disappearance of LaToya Thompson, premiering this Sunday, June 14.

Throughout each season of INSECURE, the characters find themselves obsessing over a new TV series, offering an additional nod to the cultural commentary of today’s world, and this season it focuses on the lack of true crime shows investigating missing black women. Using the series’ trademark humor and wit, “Looking For LaToya,” the obsession of the latest season, illustrates the importance of bringing these stories to mainstream media. Beyond what’s seen in INSECURE, the story of “Looking for LaToya” is extended online with additional videos, infographics, and the podcast at LookingForLaToya.com.

The podcast will feature cast members Terri J. Vaughn, Ray J, Porsha Williams, Kandi Burruss-Tucker, and Carl Anthony Payne II. In this special episode, listeners will get a jam-packed dive into the disappearance and speculated murder of LaToya Thompson, with never-before-seen details and information.
