According to different sites, both Oscar winners Jamie Foxx and Benicio Del Toro are attached to star in writer-director Harmony Korine‘s latest film, The Trap.
The Hollywood Reported states that the crime thriller will follow two very different childhood friends. One is very successful and the other has spent most of his life a convict. On the eve of a big recognition for the later, the other is released from jail and determined to get even.
John Lesher and Charles-Marie Anthonioz are producing the film, which is slated to shoot early next year.
Korine, who directed last year’s Spring Breakers, is known for his oddball indie films such as Julien Donkey-Boy, Gummo and Trash Humpers.
Foxx will be next seen reprising his role as Dean “Motherfucker” Jones in Horrible Bosses 2. He will also star opposite Quvenzhané Wallis in the remake of Annie. Earlier this year, , he starred in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and voiced a character in Rio 2. Del Toro, who was last seen in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, will next appear in Paul Thomas Anderson’s Inherent Vice.
