According to TheWrap, Academy Award winner Jamie Foxx is in talks to play Martin Luther King Jr. in a biopic that will reunite him with his ‘Any Given Sunday’ director,Oliver Stone
While ‘Sunday’ was met with mixed reviews, it was Foxx’s performance as football player Willie Beaman that garnered critical acclaim and led to better roles down the road.

DreamWorks’ Steven Spielberg and Warner Bros. will produce the film, along with Suzanne de Passe, Madison Jones and Sam Nappi. The site also states that several members of the King family are expected to serve as executive producers on the project.
Kario Salem wrote the script, while Ronald Harwood penned an earlier draft.
Foxx, who earlier this year starred in ‘White House Down’ with Channing Tatum, will next be seen opposite ‘Beasts of the Southern Wild’s Quvezhane Wallis in Sony’s remake of ‘Annie.’ Next summer, he will also be seen as Electro in ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2.’
