Jeffrey Wright Joins Allen Hughes’ ‘Broken City’Posted by Wilson Morales

Jeffrey Wright has joined cast of Allen Hughes‘ “Broken City,” joining Mark Wahlberg and Russell Crowe in the New York City crime thriller.
Wahlberg stars as a Brooklyn detective hired by a powerful politician (Crowe) to identify his wife’s lover, who is subsequently found and killed. Wright will play the police commissioner who has a complicated history with the Crowe’s character.
Justin Chambers, James Ransone and Griffin Dunne recently joined the cast, which includes Catherine Zeta-Jones, Barry Pepper and Alona Tal.
Written by Brian Tucker, the film is scheduled for release on Jan. 18, 2013 by 20th Century Fox.
Wright, last seen opposite George Clooney in ‘Ides of March,’ will also appear in Stephen Daldry‘s ‘Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close,’ which Warner Bros. opens in limited release on Christmas.
