Our hearts break as we have lost yet another bright talent too soon. Lance Reddick‘s representative Mia Hansen confirmed the actors passing noting that the Jon Wick star has died of natural causes.
Reddick, with his powerful voice and demeanor, was seemingly the go-to for suited and uniformed figures in both film and television. He’d made appearances on show to include New York Undercover, Oz, Law & Order and The West Wing before landing his breakout role as Lt. Cedric Daniels in the HBO hit series The Wire.
He later joined productions like Amazon series Bosch and hit franchise John Wick. Reddick was finishing up a press tour for the upcoming release of John Wick: Chapter 4 starring Keanu Reeves, Laurence Fishburne and Bill Skarsgård.
Other notable films where Reddick lent his talent include Sylvie’s Love and One Night in Miami.
In recent years, he’d begun working more consistently in the voiceover world using his suave baritone in video games and animated productions.
Lance Reddick is survived by his wife Stephanie Reddick, daughter Yvonne Nicole Reddick and son Christopher Reddick.
