LeToya Luckett (Ballers, Greenleaf), Omar Dorsey (Queen Sugar, Harriet), Krystal Joy Brown (Hamilton, The Equalizer) and Paulina Singer (Dead of Summer, Gotham) will join season 2 of Starz/Lionsgate’s Power prequel series, Power Book III: Raising Kanan in recurring roles.

Luckett will play Kenya, LaVerne “Jukebox” Ganner’s (Hailey Kilgore) mother and Marvin Thomas’ (London Brown) ex. Upon her return to New York, she settles in Harlem where church is a big part of her life.
Dorsey will portray Cartier “Duns” Fareed, a handsome, charismatic and confident character who is always dressed to kill. He has a vision for business, expanding into less crowded markets like Washington, D.C., and Baltimore.
Brown will play Renée Timmons, Marvin’s (Brown) anger management therapist. Renée can hold her own, especially with the people who attend her class and need help working through their issues.
Singer will portray Zisa, a beautiful up-and-coming singer hoping to make a name for herself with Lou-Lou Thomas (Malcolm Mays) and Crown Camacho’s (Quincy Brown) label.
Power Book III: Raising Kanan is executive produced by Courtney A. Kemp through her company End of Episode and Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson through his G-Unit Film and Television. Sascha Penn is the creator/showrunner of Raising Kanan. Also executive producing are Mark Canton through his Atmosphere Entertainment MM, End of Episode’s Chris Selak and Danielle DeJesus, Shana Stein, Bart Wenrich and Kevin Fox with Rob Hardy executive producing and directing the premiere episode. Lionsgate TV produces the series for Starz.
Power Book III: Raising Kanan is a prequel set in the 1990s that will chronicle the early years of Kanan Stark (the character first played by executive producer (Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson), on how he got in the drug game.
