Marvel Studios has released the teaser trailer for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. The film is slated for theatrical release on November 11, 2022.
Opening with imagery set to Tems‘ cover of the Bob Marley classic “No Woman No Cry,” we immediately feel power in the film paying homage to the late Chadwick Boseman. With the wise decision made early-on not to recast King T’Challa, the film series picks up with the nation of Wakanda pitted against intervening world powers while mourning the loss of their king.
As we approach mid-point of the teaser trailer, the only words we hear spoken are from the impassioned speech of Ramonda (Angela Bassett) before a stream of beautifully captured battle imagery play.
“I am Queen of the most powerful nation in the world. And my entire family is gone. Have I not given everything!”
Ryan Coogler returns as director of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever with the screenplay co-written by Joe Robert. Returning cast include Angela Bassett, Lupita Nyong’o, Letitia Wright, Danai Gurira, Winston Duke, Florence Kasumba and Martin Freeman.
