More Melanin Media will debut the “Grace & Grit” Speaker Series
on July 25 and 26. This virtual summit was created for women of color working in film and television and those who desire to break in. In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, the future of production in Hollywood is uncertain, and it remains to be seen if true systemic change will be implemented and how it will impact diverse individuals.
In this two-day series, women of color share how they navigate the landscape and overcome rejection, microaggressions, comparison and more. They cover all major crafts including directing, acting, production design, cinematography and editing, to name a few. The speakers range from industry veterans with over 20 years of experience and up-and-comers 
who have made incredible strides in a few short years. These ladies are sure to inspire and motivate attendees to continue to strive for greatness and have the courage to tap into their intrinsic power.
More Melanin Media was created to elevate women of color pursuing careers in entertainment. In the wake of ongoing dialogue surrounding representation and inclusivity, the current Hollywood
