Lionsgate has released the official trailer for the action thriller The Commuter, directed by Jaume Collet-Serra (Unknown, Non-Stop, Run All Night) and starring Liam Neeson.
The Commuter also stars Vera Farmiga, Patrick Wilson, Sam Neill, Jonathan Banks and Elizabeth McGovern.
In this action-packed thriller, Liam Neeson plays an insurance salesman, Michael, on his daily commute home, which quickly becomes anything but routine. After being contacted by a mysterious stranger, Michael is forced to uncover the identity of a hidden passenger on his train before the last stop. As he works against the clock to solve the puzzle, he realizes a deadly plan is unfolding and is unwittingly caught up in a criminal conspiracy. One that carries life and death stakes, for himself and his fellow passengers.
The screenplay was written by Byron Willinger and Phil de Blasi. The Picture Company’s Andrew Rona and Alex Heineman produced the film, with Serra executive producing along with his Ombra Films partner Juan Sola. Collet-Serra is no stranger to working with Neeson. In addition to The Commuter, he directed Neeson in the films Unknown, Non-Stop and Run All Night.
The Commuter will hit theaters on January 12, 2018
