A new family is coming to Salem in NBC’s long-running drama Days of Our Lives this March. Musician and actress, Precious Way, will be joining the cast as Chanel, the daughter of Paulina, who will be portrayed by the 227 and Sister, Sister actress Jackée Harry. Their connection to Salem will be through the Carver family. Harry and Way will be debuting on the show together and are sure to bring more drama to the long running episodic. Way has been a savant from an early age. She graduated high school early at 16 after realizing her passion was in music and entertainment. Her first nationally released single, Watch Me Go, made its radio debut in 2018, which lead to her touring and performing at festivals and venues, including Times Square and Disney World. After this, she began acting professionally and participated in the American Black Film Festival competition, going on to book a co-lead role in Partners in Rhyme for Urban Movie Chanel. The series comes from female hip hop legend MC Lyte, who produces and co-stars along with Martin and The Jamie Foxx Show Executive Producer, Bentley Kyle Evans.
Jackée Harry is best known for her memorable characters as Sandra Clark on 227, Lisa Landry on Sister, Sister, and as Vanessa on Everyone Hates Chris, and countless other television and film productions.
Days of our Lives which is currently in its 56th season, is set in the fictitious Midwestern town of Salem. The popular soap opera focuses on the Brady, Horton and DiMeras families. The multi-layered storylines involve elements of romance, adventure, mystery, comedy and drama. Days of our Lives is produced by Corday Productions Inc. in association with Sony Pictures Television. Ken Corday is the executive producer with co-executive Albert Alarr. Ron Carlivati serves as head writer for the iconic show.
