Prime Video Celebrates Black History Month with Throwbacks & Modern Classics

Black History Month is well underway, and Prime Video and IMDb TV continue to celebrate with a dedicated collection of titles including Amazon Originals Coming 2 America, the sequel to the Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall 80’s comedy classic, and Harlem starring Meagan Good and Whoopi Goldberg. The collection also features a variety of throwbacks from the classic series 227 to Janet Jackson and Tupac Shakur in Poetic Justice, and more.

As a reminder, this February, Prime Video and IMDb TV are also offering customers the opportunity to stream MasterClass’ Black History, Black Freedom, and Black Love, a three-part, 50-lesson class that examines the past, present and future of race relations in America.

With more than 50 lessons and 10 hours of content, the three-part class provides a foundational understanding of the historical and cultural context—and lasting impact—of white supremacy, and how it has influenced modern societal structures in the United States, while providing the knowledge and skills necessary to begin dismantling it and discover a path forward. As part of MasterClass’ $2 million commitment to make content that inspires and educates on social justice and against systemic racism, the class will also be available for free during Black History Month on IMDb TV and masterclass.com.
