Production Wrapped On Director Coke Daniels’ ‘Fruits of the Heart’ Starring Wendy Raquel Robinson, Lil Mama

The family dramedy also stars Renny, Clifton Powell, Dorien Wilson, Cocoa Brown, Brad James & Dawn Halfkenny

The family dramedy, “Fruits of the Heart,” written and directed by Coke Daniels recently wrapped in production in Dublin, Georgia.

“Fruits of the Heart ” is a family dramedy, which follows the epic tale of a mother and her daughter. It stars veteran actress Wendy Raquel Robinson (“The Game”) and rapper turned actress Niatia “Lil Mama” Kirkland (“All In”), portraying a mother and daughter, who are thick as thieves but quite often find themselves at odds… especially in matters of the heart. As the two of them journey through life’s obstacles,their bond grows stronger. Although their relationship is at times very contentious, it only seems to bring them closer as they are always there for one another. They become more than mother and daughter; they become best friends.

“Fruits of the Hearth” also boasts an ensemble cast of familiar faces, including social media comedian Lorenzo “Renny” Cromwell, Clifton Powell (“Menace to Society,” “Next Friday” and Bounce TV’s “Saints and Sinners”), Dorien Wilson (“In The Cut” and “The Parkers”), comedienne/actress Cocoa Brown (“9-1-1,” “For Better or Worse” and “Soul Man”). Rounding out the cast are Brad James (Tyler Perry’s “For Better or Worse” and “Superstition), Duane Finley (“The Wood”) and Dawn Halfkenny (“Saints and Sinners”)

The film was produced by Coke Daniels, Cecil Chambers, and George Pierre. Vanzil Burke and Victor Burke of the Burke Management Firm, LLC served as executive producers along with Dorien Wilson and Saleem Elmasri. Flixville USA and Triumphant Pictures served as the production companies on this project.

In the early 1990s, Coke Daniels’ film credits include “My Baby’s Daddy” (as writer and co-producer), and “Who Made The Potatoe Salad,” and “His, Hers & the Truth,” which premiered at the 2019 ABFF in Miami and was acquired by BET and UMC.

Fruits of the Heart” is Daniels’ eighth film. His other credits as a writer, director and producer include another cult classic, “Gangsta Rap: The Glockumentary,” as well as “Hollywont,” and “Highway.” Based in Atlanta, he is currently developing several projects for television, film and digital platforms through his production company, Flixville USA.
