Regina Hall and “Key and Peele’s” Keegan-Michael Key have been added to the cast of New Line’s “Vacation” reboot, states Variety.
The pair joins Chevy Chase, Beverly D’Angelo, Ed Helms, Christina Applegate, Chris Hemsworth, Charlie Day, Skyler Gisondo, and Steele Stebbins. “Horrible Bosses” screenwriters John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein will also make their directorial debut from their screenplay.
The new version of the Griswold’s “Vacation” adventures will follow grown-up son (Helms) who has the perfect surprise for his wife, Debbie (Applegate), and two sons: the cross-country trip of a lifetime, reminiscent of the fun-filled excursion he took as a kid. They’re going to Walley World, America’s greatest amusement park.
Hall and Key will play family friends of the Griswolds that are described as “the perfect family.”
Producing the film are Chris Bender, David Dobkin, and Jeff Kleeman.
Hall was last seen in “Think Like a Man Too,” while Key can still be seen in “Key and Peele” on Comedy Central.
