Lifetime TV has released a teaser trailer and photos to their upcoming biopic “Michael Jackson: Searching for Neverland,” premiering Monday, May 29 at 8pm ET/PT on Lifetime.
Directed by Dianne Houston, the script was written by Elizabeth Hunter (“Beauty Shop”) and star Michael Jackson tribute artist Navi, Sam Adegoke and Chad L. Coleman (The Wire, The Walking Dead) as Jackson’s bodyguards.
The film is based on the book “Remember the Time: Protecting Michael Jackson in His Final Days,” written by Motown head Berry Gordy. Suzanne de Passe is executive producer.
The story is being told through the eyes of his bodyguards, Bill Whitfield (Coleman) and Javon Beard (Adegoke), and will also touch on his being a father to sons Prince (Aidan Smith) and Blanket (Michael Mourra), and daughter Paris (Taegen Burns). Nondumiso Tembe plays Grace Rwaramba, the nanny to Michael Jackson’s kids.
